Your support of Rice Hospice can take many forms:

A memorial gift to Rice Hospice honors the memory of someone who touched your life in a special way. Often, families ask for memorials to hospice in funeral notices as a way of honoring loved ones. Many people make annual memorial contributions to remember the birthday or anniversary of a loved one. At your request, your gift will be acknowledged with a letter that will be sent to family members and others.

You can help support Rice Hospice at the same time you express your appreciation or love and respect for a living family member, friend, co-worker or other special person. Such a contribution is a thoughtful way to remember someone’s birthday or anniversary. At your request, the person honored by your contribution will receive a letter acknowledging your gift to Rice Hospice.

A planned gift is a contribution that is arranged during the giver’s lifetime, but may not be received in its entirety by Rice Hospice until after the donor’s death. A planned gift is often made through a Will, but can also be made in other ways such as through a life insurance policy or a trust. Planned gifts may be in the form of cash, real estate, stocks or other assets. Planned giving allows you to make a major gift to Rice Hospice without sacrificing spendable income.

The Rice Hospice Endowment Fund was established in March of 2006 to help secure the financial future of the hospice and palliative care for the community. Gifts to the Rice Hospice Endowment Fund are invested to meet the future needs of patients and families facing life-limiting illness. The fund produces a stream of income to be used to meet ongoing expenses related to the care of patients, cover capital and equipment expenditures, maintain and upgrade technology and fund special projects and programs.
